Here are some prompts you may share in your introduction letter. Although you don't have to answer all of the prompts, you should answer at least half (seven or more) of them.
- Where do you consider home? If you are away from home right now, what do you miss most about home? What do you miss least?
- What high school did you attend? Did you like it? Why or why not?
- Who has been the biggest influence on your life? How so?
- What do you enjoy doing? How do you like to spend your free time?
- Who is your secret "Hollywood crush?" (It won't be a secret anymore!) Why?
- What has been one of your most fulfilling life experiences? How so?
- What do you like best about yourself? What are your best physical and/or personality traits and talents?
- Why did you choose to attend college? Did anything in particular attract you to CSUSM
- What is your major, and why are you interested in this field of study?
- What are your biggest fears about college? Are they related to academics, study habits, finances, family expectations/concerns, managing your freedom, making friends, etc?
- Who are your greatest "cheerleaders" in your college journey? How do they inspire you and/or show their support?
- What are your dreams and aspirations for your future?
- If you could be or do anything with your life, without concern for how much money you would make or whether you have the talent, what would you be or do? Why?
- Share anything else you would like for your community to know about you.
